Funcom has revealed the contents of Issue #13 of their dark conspiracy MMO The Secret World, and the new issue celebrates the holiday season with gift giving - and Krampus, the Christmas demon.
According to the official site, players can now give each other gifts through the Item Store. ”This feature allows you to go through your friends list and select a recipient for the gift of your choice,” explains Funcom. ” Send gifts to your friends and earn new achievements and rewards!”
The new content introduced in the update are actually followups to older storylines, including ”several new missions that revisit your favorite survivors of Kaidan, including Harumi & Yuichi’s delving into the mysteries of Orochi, and Ricky Pagan with a final, urgent request with his chrome steed:” Players who opt to pay for the premium version of issue 13 will get rewards including Ricky Pagan’s leather jacket & Rising Sun jeans, Yuichi’s helmet, Harumi’s elite gamer headset and a Boombox that players can use outside of Tokyo.
Finally, it wouldn’t be a dark Christmas without Krampus showing his ugly head - or in The Secret World’s case, their ugly heads, since multiple monsters spew out to attack players. However, this holiday season will allow players to turn the tables on the beasts and use their portals to enter Nilfeim and attack Hel herself.
