Koei Tecmo has announced that the PC version of its alternative history action title Bladestorm: Nightmare will be released on Steam this May.
Set during the Hundred Years War, Nightmare spices up the historical action a little bit by bunging in a load of goblins, skeletons and dragons.
Other than that it’s a third-person action game in the vein of Dynasty Warriors, but with a slightly more tactical bent – rather than running around on your own slaughtering peasants by the thousand, you’re leading small units of archers, cavalry and infantry into combat.
Nightmare’s a revamped remake of Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War, released back in 2007. It gives you the option of playing the original goblin-free version of Bladestorm, or Nightmare, its fantasy spinoff set in the same universe.
