BeefJack is working on a psychological thriller deep in the big blue wobbly, and it’s called Iron Fish. We’ll explore depths of the ocean where humans ”no longer have the upper hand.” It’s all flippers and gills down there. Bigots.
Cerys is a deep sea investigator working for an elite British Naval group using some state-of-the-art tech. Seven miles under the surface is dangerous and full of unexplored territory, and teeming with undocumented life.
There are full 3D environments to explore, new creatures and thought-lost civilizations to discover as well as aggressive natives of the sea to outsmart. Flares, sonar and other tools help us get around the crushing depths of the ocean.
“We have been eagerly waiting for the right time to show Iron Fish. This project combines my passion for games and my life-long love of unusual horror. After being captivated by documentaries like The Blue Planet and Natural World, I was really interested to explore the terrifying but reverent quality that the deep can convey,” said creator Dean Edwards.
It’s all powered by Unreal Engine 4 in a ”winding story that blurs the boundaries between science and the supernatural”. The game Iron Fish is currently on Steam Greenlight - it’s out in 2015.
