The Escapists was a fun little indie title developed by Mouldy Toof Studios and published by Team17 back in February in which you played an 8-bit prisoner trying to escape from jail. Now, a new version of the game, The Escapists Walking Dead, puts the player in the comic book by Robert Kirkman (not the television show).
As with the previous game, you’re sneaking around the undead, crafting items, and generally finding a way to escape from the horde of zombies knocking on your door in five different levels based on different issues of the comic. The game is more aggressive than The Escapists, chiefly because no one is going to blame you for smacking a zombie in a post-apocalyptic world, where attacking a prison guard in a jail will have consequences.
The Escapists Walking Dead, this time developed by Skybound, will be available on 30 September 2015 on Steam.
