Strategic Viking city-builder Valhalla Hills is now available on Steam Early Access, and its 20% off until August 31. Developer Funatics Software plans to release the game in full in early 2016.
Most of the game is there and ready to play already, but Funatics has a laundry list of additions over on the Steam page that will be integrated during development.
“We decided to share “Valhalla Hills” with our players in an early stage of development, so we can get feedback and suggestions right away and continuously improve the game with their help,” the developer explains. “Eventually, we want the game to be as enjoyable as possible, for as long as possible. So, we encourage players to get in touch with us and tell us their ideas and also - or rather, especially- what they don’t like. We’re looking forward to that!”
Valhalla Hills is inspired by city-building games like The Settlers 2, and features procedurally generated landscapes and light roguelike elements. You can check out an extended walkthrough of the basics in the video below.
