Italian site Tell Me About Games reports that GameStop Italy has accidentally listed a release date of October 16 for Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft's tactical team-based shooter.
Could that be right? It does fall on a Friday, which is the traditional date that games drop in the UK and most of Europe, though the date has now been changed to “To be determined”.
Ubisoft hasn't announced any release plans for Siege, though the game is expected out this year. October 16 would seem about right, giving the game some breathing space between the usual Call of Duty release in November, and big hitters like Star Wars: Battlefront in December.
You can now put your name down for a place in the upcoming beta for Siege through your Uplay account. The only way to confirm your place is by pre-ordering the game.
