Capcom has dragon-punched all the gremlins that were ruining its Street Fighter 5 Beta, and is ready to bring it back online this weekend.
Regional server stress tests appear to have solved the lag and disconnection issues that forced Capcom to shut down the Beta only a few days after it first went up, but the developer warns that other problems may crop up.
“The worldwide beta test will begin on August 28th at 4pm PST (August 29th 12:00am BST/ 8:00am JST), and will continue for five days and end on September 2nd at 7am PST (3:00pm BST/11:00pm JST). Outside of the servers being shut down for periodic maintenance, we expect everything to run continuously throughout the entire five day beta period,” says Capcom.
They also point out that wired connections are much more reliable than wi-fi, and that users should use the former if at all possible. Plus, don't download anything while you play. Cheers for that stellar advice, Capcom.
Street Fighter 5 is set for release on PC and PS4 in March next year. More details about the Beta can be found here.
