Fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe and the Talisman fantasy board games can rejoice, as Nomad Games has announced it’s releasing a Games Workshop-licensed version of its computer board game on 22nd February, 2016.
Nomad Games is responsible for the modern computer game adaptation of the classic board game, Talisman, in which players take on the roles of adventurers, rolling dice to move around a board with concentric spaces and facing off against the final enemy in the center. Talisman: The Horus Heresy puts you in the Warhammer 40,000 universe during the Horus Heresy period when the Primarch Horus turned against the Emperor of Mankind.
The game will allow up to four players, each taking control of either one of the galaxy’s greatest heroes or most notorious villains as traitor or loyalist. ”These Warlords will form vast companies of Space Marines, battalions of tanks and battle fleets of spacecraft. They are the most powerful beings in the galaxy and their followers are legion,” notes Nomad Games.
Players can preorder the game on Steam on 26 January 2016.
