Upcoming top down RPG Torn Tales has been delayed until January 2017 according to the developer. The game has recently been in beta and received some fairly critical feedback from the community that had been testing the game.
The developers said " Following some fantastic feedback from the community, we have decided to put back release of Torn Tales on Steam to January 2017. There are still improvements to make and features to test. We really don’t want to rush those or release the game in the notoriously difficult Holiday period."
The game revolves around a failed writer whose fairly tales gain no success. Becoming angry the storyteller uses magic to change the most loved fairy tales to have a dark ending. Players assume the role of Robin Hood, Snow White and Dr Jekyll as they team up to fix what has gone wrong in the fantasy world.
The developers will continue working on the game saying "We’ll continue to release updates to the game through that period for our Beta testers and we want to take this opportunity to thank them for the invaluable feedback so far." What form these improvements will take is unclear but we'll have to wait until next year to find out.
