A lot of game announcements come through the inbox every day, at such a volume that it’s tough to give anything more than a quick glance. But every once in awhile, you see something that’s incredibly relevant to your interests. Such was the case today with me and Diluvion, a Jules Verne-inspired take on undersea exploration.
Diluvion has you in command of an old-style submersible, wandering the sea after a great flood ruins civilization, searching for the supplies you need to survive. You’ll look for salvage, trade in unique harbors, meet different factions and mercenaries, and seek out bounty and adventure wherever you can find it.
Of course, there are already tons of great independent games out there. We just happen to have a list of the best indie games on PC!
Combat plays out like a Wing Commander game, turning submarine battles into dogfights between undersea commanders. You’ll take one of nine unique sub models and recruit officers with specific personalities and skill sets to helm various battlestations, and upgrade those vessels with new weapons and components.
It sounds cool, it looks great, and I can’t wait to hear more about it. Diluvion is expected to release this Fall for PC.
