The latest free content update to Final Fantasy XIV lands on servers during next Tuesday’s routine maintenance - that’s September 27th.
Patch 3.4 - AKA ‘Soul Surrender’ - was detailed during the traditional ‘Letter from the Producer LIVE’ early Saturday morning on the halls of the Tokyo Game Show. With it came a lengthy trailer showcasing additions like player apartments, new dungeons and aquariums used to show off your favorite underwater denizens fished up from around Eorzea to name a few.
Of course, a healthy dosage of new battle and crafted content was also demonstrated with players being told to look forward to the conclusion of the Alexander raid scenario, continuation of the Final Fantasy VI inspired ‘Containment Bay’ brawls and plenty of new gear to work toward.
We’ll likely see some balance changes with the Astrologian class said to be receiving significant changes to their arsenal soon. Patch notes should be available soon with most of the details.
