A new and interesting project found its way online today. Uprising Studios, an indie developer based in Spain posted the name, ideas, and concept art for a brand new game they intend to make over the course of 2016. The game is known as Scarf: Walking with Souls, a rather cute adventure game with some hack-and-slash elements.
The game was posted in a new thread over on TIG Forums where Uprising revealed the ideas behind their new project. Scarf stars an diminutive fellow known as Hyke as he takes up a journey to remember his past and discover his origin, armed only with a flowing red scarf which can tranform into various weapons and tools to help and protect Hyke on his way.
There are different worlds in Scarf that Hyke must explore and traverse, of which Uprising studios has revealed four: Forest, mountains, desert, and grassland. Each of these lands poses their own challenge and contains various creatures, some of which will try to harm Hyke. He must use and learn the potential of his scarf to survive these threats and continue his journey.
Uprising Studios is working on a demo for the game that they intend to finish before January 2017, after which they have announced they will begin to seek financing for the game. To see more or follow Uprising Studios and Scarf, you can check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
