Get ready for another hex-based wargame - this time set in one of the most radical battles of the Civil War. This battle took place over one hundred and fifty years ago, and now you’ll get to experience the battle in those brave soldiers shoes (except you’ll be on a computer, and this game is a hex-based wargame, but you get the idea).
Gettysburg: The Tide Turns lets you take command of Union or Confederate forces in this historic battle. Don’t be put off by the user interface of this hex-based game, it actually couldn’t be easier. Everything is set out to be clear and minimalist, allowing people who have never played a game in the genre to experience the thrill of commanding an army.
The turn-based system when each division moves and fights, creating interesting scenarios that will play out differently each time you start up the game. You will learn to become a better, smarter commander as you react to different situations. There are plenty of period units to command, including: infantry, cavalry and artillery.
