Sassybot are an indie development team based in Holland that's currently working a narrative driven video game called Fragments of Him, which will be released for the PC on the 3rd May, with a Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version due later on in the year.
The game is an interactive drama that covers the experience of overcoming grief, with an 'uplifting' tale about the value of opening your heart to others. The story follows the aftermath of Will’s sudden death, and how the lives of those close to him are affected by this loss. It's a very short game with a play time of 2.5 hours, but judging by the tone set in the official launch trailer – which we'll publish below for you – you could be left feeling pretty down in the dumps by the end of it, but Sassybot do say it's an “uplifting tale” so it might all end well.
Could Fragments of Him end up on our list ofwhen it releases on 3rd may?
“We have been on an amazing journey since we started development at a game jam more than three years ago, and it is wonderful that players will soon be able to experience our story”, said Elwin Verploegen, co-founder of Sassybot. “We are regularly overwhelmed by how our audience is moved by the game, and how they appreciate a title combining emotional honesty on a difficult topic with such an uplifting ending.”
Fragments of Him will launch on Steam (PC) for €19.99 / $19.99 / £ 14.99.
