Indie developer Ape Law has announced that the first episode of its strange psychological horror game Albino Lullaby will be launched today for the Oculus Rift headset, with a version for the HTC Vive coming on 5th April. The Kickstarter-funded game originally launched back in September 2015.
”From the moment Albino Lullaby played so well on the DK1, we knew we had to move forward with VR in mind at every turn. We wanted to create a fantastic world for an ordinary person to explore as themselves in the role of the main character, and VR delivers that experience in a way never before so fully realized,” said Ape Law founder Justin Pappas.
The developer also claims that Albino Lullaby doesn’t require jump scares or gore to scare players. The game features player driven pacing, no cutscenes, and “environmental storytelling” where the backstory is told through gameplay and not exposition.
Episode 1 will be available from the main lobby of the Oculus store at launch. The game is available now on Steam for $9.99 or as part of the Season One Pass for $24.99.
