Dark Souls is officially done. After the release of Dark Souls III: The Ringed City, FromSoftware has concluded production on the series as a whole. But evidently, that doesn't mean the patches will stop anytime soon.
Concluding with the second and final expansion of the series as a whole, long-term players of a genre-defining franchise bid farewell by journeying to the world's end.
But that doesn't mean everything's working perfectly from the get-go. Difficulty scaling was still a little wonky, so a new patch has been issued that, somehow, doesn't even need t be downloaded. And it's already gone live;
We hope you haven't grown too attached to a particular weapon, and there's a fair chance it's been tweaked for the worse. Damage taken has been increased and decreased across the board, so expect a rather different experience if you're going in for your second run.
