After working on high-profile titles like the God of War series and The Order: 1886, Ready At Dawn are back with something worlds apart from their usual dark, moody affairs. Deformers arrives today!
Though its Steam page does little to say exactly when it's due for release, its currently available for free through on on-going Open Beta period.
Deformers takes the shame of an incredibly colourful and vibrant multiplayer party game with enough cutesy style to look like it belongs in a short movie screening at a cinema before a major Dreamworks production. Each character takes control of a spherical blob in the shape of a dog, alien, burger, watermelon or just about any object that can be squished into a ball and given gigantic eyes to good effect.
Since Opening Up Its IP In February, Rebellion Have Had Plenty Of Pitches For New 2000AD Games
Designed to be played either through the traditional, often forgotten, couch co-op method or played online with folks all over the world. It's a simple competition of bashing your opponent either with your own wobbly body or by making use of various pick-ups and throwable objects. If the blobs weren't already personalised enough, there's plenty of emotes and styles to equip as you roll around its varied arenas.
With such puns as having 'a FORMidable Arsenal' to bringing back memes like 'This isn't even my final form', what's not to like here? Honestly?
