It may not be Final Fantasy XV for whatever reason, but Square Enix is trying to appease the Final Fantasy PC audience in other ways - with a port of the rather impressive looking mobile game Mobius Final Fantasy.
We've seen the likes of Final Fantasy IV, III and VIII make the move after their mobile ports, so it isn't too surprising to see one of the flashier Final Fantasy games in Square's mobile repitoire slide on over to Steam.
Retaining its Free-2-Play mechanics, Mobius Final Fantasy won't cost a dime when it launches through Steam early next month. So if you're looking to see some mention of Garland in another Final Fantasy game - this is the one. After XIV, of course.
Final Fantasy XIV Might Introduce Leveling Boosts For Its Next Expansion
Thrown into chaos by chaos itself, you awaken on the fractured lands of Palamecia. A faint voice alerts you to your name - Wol - and tells of a prophecy that would have a person of the same name become the Warrior of Light as save the mysterious world from its troubles. You, much like the rest of the 'blanks' who wash up on its fields, have little memory yourself, but a guiding voice and the key characters of the realm are adamant in helping you achieve the foretold end goal.
With certain mobile devices having better screens than some people's main gaming PCs, it's reassuring to see Square Enix fully support 4K 60FPS options with the Steam release. Mobile players can sync their save data with the PC version and can look forward to the Final Fantasy VII remake event hitting Mobius Final Fantasy soon. Now we wait for the translated Steam page.
