After a few months on the market, PlayUnknowns Battlegrounds is still going strong. Raking up millions of sales, it's another bizarre success story for a game that's known for being incomplete. Early Access is a strange beast. That said, the developers are well aware that it's an incomplete product - and a fairly unbalanced one at that. We usually consolidate its weekly patches into our own page over here, but today's tweak is so balance-heavy, it deserves it own post. Due to the nature of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, it's going to getting numerous balance tweaks across its lifetime. It's a multiplayer survival game where you're activaly encourages to hunt and prey on other players. So when everyone's rocking some of the most powerful guns available, some are going to start wondering why they're constantly fighting the same battle. More variety means more strategy, after all. So let's see what's changing! Changelog:
So, as you can see, there should be less SCAR-L and UMP bullets flying through your head, and more mid/close-range skirmishes with a fully automatic 9mm pistol. Good trade? That changes mentioned above will be activated through the next monthly update due very soon. |
