The biggest DLC yet for Starpoint Gemini Warlords, Cycle of Warfare, is out now on Steam for $9.99. For a limited time, just a week in fact, it's 10% off on Steam. There's a new launch trailer too showing off all the new features and factions.
These features include:
From the press release:
"For the first time ever in the history of the Starpoint Gemini franchise, aliens make their entry in the Gemini system as a playable faction. The A'shriari are an unforgiving alien race who will stop at nothing to wipe out humanity. As the A'shriari, players can shut down all infrastructure, fly and command exclusive new capital ships and use a massive weapon directly from their mothership, burning planets and vaporizing all means of sustaining life."
Starpoint Gemini Warlords: Cycle of Warfare is available right now.
Original Story Is As Follows
After slipping out of Early Access a few months ago, hybrid 4X title Starpoint Gemini Warlords has received plenty of user-requested DLC. The latest, Cycle of Warfare, is the biggest the team have ever created.
Obviously a proud moment for developer Little Green Men Games, the Cycle of Warface DLC pack even offers up free content for those who aren't looking part with their cash.
While the 'Titan' update launched to a warm response just last month, the team were clearly holding something back. Waiting for the right moment to strike, the Cycle of Warfare DLC adds five new playable factions and over 100 hours of potential new gameplay across the Conquest and Scenario modes. Those who've mastered their craft will certainly welcome two new Challenge scenarios.
Starting fresh, players will now be able to take up arms as either the Iolian Pact, Korkyra or Outerlands. For those Challenge scenarios, however, you'll be controlling the A'shriari, an alien race who'd much rather vaporise worlds with their gargantuan mothership. In the other, you're a simple privateer looking for fame and fortune.
Releasing on October 5, Starpoint Gemini Warlords: Cycle of Warfare is a feature-rich add-on. Whether you pick it up or not, you'll start coming across rare alien ships housing some rather fine equipment on your travels.
