Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is quickly shaping up to be one of our favourite modern Metroidvania releases, but thankfully, it's not big enough on nostalgia to ignore some of the more obvious contemporary gameplay solutions. Fast travel, for example, is a thing here!
Though somewhat limited in function, Bloodstained fast travel does wonders when it comes to helping the game's tremendous pacing, and it's a great boon if you need to cross large distances quickly. Down below, you're going to find a guide on how to unlock it, and how it all works in practice.
How to Fast Travel in Bloodstained?
The good news is that, in order to unlock fast travel in Bloodstained, you're only going to need to keep progressing through the game. In fact, you don't even need to move very far along before you're presented with your very first fast travel checkpoint - a stained glass window room. You're going to come across one in Arvantville, which is the starting village.
Now, the catch is that you can only ever teleport/fast travel from one stained glass window room to another, and this does not include save rooms. Stained glass window rooms are presented by green rectangles on the minimap, and you'll be jumping from one to another as you progress further along.
It's sensible that you can't fast-travel willy-nilly in Bloodstained, though it will require a bit of getting used to before it comes to you as second nature. Good luck!
