If The Northman left you craving more Viking-related experiences then Pixel Chest’s RPG/Strategy hybrid Sons of Valhalla could be just the ticket.
At the Hooded Horse Publisher Showcase there were announcements, reveals, and updates galore for a host of PC titles. Sons of Valhalla was chief among them.
The game, developed in Germany, is a side-scrolling, pixel-style affair that features base-building and strategic combat as you lead your Viking army from the front in battles across England seeking to conquer green and pleasant lands in a typically unpleasant fashion.
To make a name for yourself, there needs to be plenty of recruitment in order to build up your own fortifications and raze those of the opposition to the ground.
No set release date is in place for Sons of Valhalla just yet, but as you can see, it is looking pretty promising already.
