Publisher Sega and developer Relic Entertainment today revealed that Company of Heroes 3 is getting a multiplayer pre-alpha test this week, while also unveiling details about its preloading process alongside its start and end dates.
Company of Heroes 3’s multiplayer pre-alpha will include four Italian maps available to players in a few different game modes. These include co-op vs AI, competitive PvP, as well as Skirmish vs AI, appealing to both the game’s hardcore audience and its more casual audience.
This also marks an opportunity to try out some of the strategy game’s more notable features such as full tactical pause in skirmish mode, vehicle side armor, verticality, battlegroups, and unit veterancy. Two factions will be available – the US forces and The Wehrmacht –, each having its own unique abilities.
Company of Heroes 3’s multiplayer pre-alpha start date is scheduled for November 30. Its end date occurs a week later, on December 7, pre-loading being available now.
- Company of Heroes 3 multiplayer pre-alpha start date: November 30 at 9 AM PST/5 PM GMT
- Company of Heroes 3's multiplayer pre-alpha end date: December 7 at 8 AM PST/4 PM GMT
If you’re already part of the game’s CoH-Development initiative and have played its previous test, you should be able to pre-load the multiplayer pre-alpha from your Steam library.
New players will first have to sign up on the CoH-Development website and link their Steam account before getting access.

Company of Heroes 3 is expected to fully release in 2022, exploring the conflicts that took place across World War II’s Mediterranean theater.
