Beer Night Studio has revealed it will partner with Crytivio to publish its upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, Carnival Hunt.
The game puts a genuinely unique spin on the 4v1 multiplayer model by making the survivors a group of wind-up bunny rabbits trying to exhaust their supply of wind-up keys before a carnival monster can consume them for their energy. The bunnies win when the carnival monster’s charge has depleted.
Both sides play from a first-person perspective to ratchet up the tension of not knowing what’s behind you.
“Each monster has its own unique set of skills to perform. The Magician, for instance, can go invisible. He can also teleport to different rooms using his magic box.” explained the publisher. A beta test should be available soon, giving players a chance to try it out before release.
A Kickstarter will be starting in the near future, and a 2023 release is currently penciled in on Steam.
