Deep Rock Galactic’s post-launch support is set to continue at least until 2025 and, although new seasons will release at a considerably slower pace, seasonal events will keep giving us reasons to check back regularly.
The list of DRG’s seasonal events for 2024 has, thankfully, not lost any of its special celebrations. From the Lunar Festival at the start of the year all the way to the wintry joy of Yuletide, squashing bugs and mining valuable minerals all year round should continue to net us exclusive rewards or at least allow us to catch up on those of past years.
Deep Rock Galactic Seasonal Events 2024
As developer Ghost Ship Games alternates between focusing on Deep Rock Galactic and its roguelite spinoff Rogue Core, it has yet to share specific details about DRG’s seasonal events for 2024, aside from a brief list of what we can expect.

- Oktoberfest
- Halloween
- Yuletide
So far, the events have largely stuck to a similar structure. They introduce a set of new cosmetics to be acquired after completing a special time-limited assignment, alongside a separate assignment that allows us to catch up on exclusive cosmetics we might have missed during the prior years’ iterations.
Since the debut of the co-op shooter’s free battle passes, Longbeard Freight tends to lose various items (or creatures) in Hoxxes IV’s caves. When retrieved, they grant double the amount of experience, allowing us to progress faster.
In addition, the Space Rig routinely gets decorations appropriate to each event, to better mark the special occasion, while the assignments mentioned above also grant various resources.
Aside from spicing things up for those of us who regularly play the game, jumping in to secure a new hat or outfit for our dwarves is usually quick enough to warrant doing even when taking a break from the shooter, thanks to how it only takes a couple of matches to wrap up things.
As long as nothing changes, this is, broadly speaking, what we can expect from Deep Rock Galactic’s seasonal events for 2024.
