Stardock Entertainment has revealed the release date for the full version of Elemental: Reforged, the remastered and expanded turn-based strategy RPG.
Currently in Early Access, the game will receive a full release on Steam on March 17, 2026, with a launch discount to mark the occasion.
Elemental: Reforged Lets You Forge Your Own Fantasy
Elemental: Reforged takes the key parts of 2010’s Elemental: War of Magic, 2012’s Elemental: Fallen Enchantress, and spinoff game Elemental: Sorcerer King to create a version of Elemental that the developers had always wanted, but couldn’t create due to hardware limitations of the time.
The RPG lets players create their own sovereign, found a civilisation, and explore a procedurally generated fantasy world. You’ll be able to compete for control of powerful magical shards. The power is in the players’ hands to create a fantasy world with the sandbox tools Elemental: Reforged provides. So you’ll choose who you align with or wage war on, while building your own custom fantasy empire.
“What makes Elemental unique is that it’s a strategy game in an RPG world. The world really is your sandbox. You create your own character, fantasy civilization and bring them into a vast world that is different each game.” said Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock, about the game ahead of the release date news.
The game was first released in Early Access last October and has received a generally positive response from its player base. A developer rarely gets to essentially have a do-over in developing a game, and with Elemental: Reforged, that’s essentially the case. Unshackled by the technical limitations of the original games, the ambition can be more easily met.
