Cyber-Punk is well on its way to a resurgence and Chaosmonger's Point-and-Click adventure ENCODYA is certainly high on the list for charming interpretations of the dystopian world. It uses 3D characters against beautiful 2D backgrounds to create a distinctive, almost sweet atmosphere.
The publishers Assemble Entertainment have now announced both new gameplay footage and a free demo that will be available on Steam between June 16th and June 22nd, 2020. As with most Point-and-Click games, we can expect puzzles, dialogue, and plenty of strange encounters.
ENCODYA Gameplay and Playable Demo
The story is centred on Tina, a 9 year old orphan and her clumsy robot guardian living in a dark future version of Berlin where she must scrounge to survive. She and SAM-53 have a lot to accomplish, her father having left her a mission to save this dark dystopian world from greyness through reality hopping shenanigans.
ENCODYA is scheduled for a late 2020 release date for PC, and also features MacOS and Linux compatibility. It will be available on Steam, where you will also be able to play the demo later this month.
