2025’s Fallout Day broadcast was more packed than initially anticipated and brought us news on Fallout 76’s upcoming new expansion update as well as anniversary re-releases for both Fallout 4 and New Vegas. First up, there’s Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition coming, and here we’ll tell you about its release date and all the new content included.
Before we get into all the details, we want to underline this Fallout 4 re-release won’t be a new current-gen refresh or rework the game in substantial ways. It’s just a new complete package that adds well “over 150 pieces” of Creation Club content at no extra cost on top of Bethesda Game Studios’ expansion DLCs. The big surprise, however, is that it’ll be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 too.
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Release Date
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is coming very soon, though Nintendo Switch 2 owners will have to wait a bit longer to enjoy everything the Commonwealth has to offer. We’re also sharing the reveal trailers below.
- Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition release date: November 10, 2025
- Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition (Switch 2) release window: 2026
As for the physical Fallout: New Vegas - 15th Anniversary Bundle (PC), we haven’t received a release window beyond 2026. New content and upgrades to the game aren’t to be expected; it’s a premium re-release focusing on physical goodies.
Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Content
As we’ve already mentioned, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition won’t add new official content to the game or refresh the graphical presentation yet again. That said, it’s adding a very substantial amount of Bethesda-approved, user-made content to the game to enhance the vanilla experience. This is pretty much the same approach used with Skyrim’s own Anniversary Edition. The Switch 2 version will have content parity, though we don’t know yet about further mod support.
The official DLC packs included are Fallout 4’s entire post-launch roster of expansions:
- Contraptions Workshop
- Vault-Tec Workshop
- Wasteland Workshop
- Automatron
- Far Harbor
- Nuka-World
The entire collection of Creation Club content includes +150 canon-friendly additions, but we don’t have a list to share yet.
If we had to guess, a separate upgrade path for existing Fallout 4 owners will be available at launch, with the full Anniversary Edition purchase being the way to go only for newcomers. For reference, Skyrim’s big Anniversary upgrade costs $20.
