With the second half of December almsot here, Fallout 76's Christmas events are also upon us, adding a festive touch to Appalachia through the addition of gift-bearing Holiday Scorched and Santatrons.
Bethesda also plans to revamp Fallout 76's challenges, the full extent of changes coming as a belated Christmas present at the start of January.
Fallout 76 Christmas Events 2019 Holiday Scorched
Starting today, December 12, Holiday Scorched can be spotted roaming across Appalachia, spreading post-apocalyptic festive cheer by dressing up and wrapping presents.
Ruthlessly murdering them can yield Holiday Gifts which you can unwrap. Holiday Gifts come in three qualities, (low, medium, or high-quality) and can contain anything from crafting components to aid items, going as far as potentially getting you rare plans.
Fallout 76 festive cheer doesn't just stay with the Holiday Scorched. Players can also purchase Wrapping Paper from various vendors and craft gifts of their own to offer their peers.
The Holiday Scorched Fallout 76 Christmas event lasts until December 26, concluding at 12:00 p.m. ET.
Fallout 76 Christmas Events 2019 Santatron
Fallout 76's Santatron – not to be mistaken with his evil cousin Satantron – can be unlocked for free in the Atomic Shop and built in your C.A.M.P.
After you've given Santatron a relatively cozy home, it will explore the nearby area searching for toys, candy, and other items. While the Holiday Scorched Christmas event is live, there's also a chance that the Santatron will find a Holiday Gift of random quality.
The items found by the Santatron can be picked up from the container that comes with its station. If you already have a Scavenger Collection Station, you can have you Santatron look for Scavenger items or vice versa. That being said, only one Collection Station can be active at any given time.
The Santatron can be claimed before December 31 and built even after it leaves the Atomic Shop.
As for Fallout 76's Challenges, Bethesda has made several challenges more straightforward and simpler to complete, while removing others that simply had too many requirements. The revamped challenges will be available in Fallout 76 after January 1, 2020.
