Mole rats are a common sight both in Fallout 76 and previous games in the series. You're likely to have met and slaugheterd quite a few in your travels.
While they don't spawn as often as their peers, mole rat brood mothers are more resistant versions of the creatures that usually hang around other mole rats. If you're chasing them in Fallout 76, there are a couple of good locations for you to check first.
Mole rat brood mothers are known to spawn at Widow's Perch, which is a shack build near the Forest, to the south of the Charleston Capitol Building. Another good spot to look for them in Fallout 76 is the cemetery found north of the Nuka Cola Plant. The Poseidon power substation PX-02, found just north of Summersville and south of Tygart Water Treatment is also known to house mole rat brood mothers as well as their lesser peers.
