Far Far West quickly became one of April 2026’s indie sensations, drawing a considerable number of players to its western-themed bounty hunts every day since entering early access. Far Far West Latest Patch Notes - Hotfix 3 - Version 601
Far Far West’s hotfix 3 - version 601 went live on May 4, 2026, tackling several stability and balance issues discovered by players.

STABILITY
IMPROVED SAVING SYSTEM
- Made lots of improvements on the saving system to try and prevent save corruptions
- The game should no longer save if the progress somehow became corrupted
- The game will no longer try to save while doing important operations that could crash the game, leading to a corrupted save
- Auto backups are no longer stored on Steam Cloud, so you can’t lose them anymore if you use Family Sharing on Steam
- User settings are no longer stored on Steam cloud, which mean you can now have custom user settings for Steam Deck and different user settings on PC/other computers
- Fixed a shader crash that could happen on Far Far North
BALANCE
JOKERS
- Weaklink: buffed from max. 1 to max. 2
- Run and Gun: buffed from Prime (3) to Rare (2)
QUALITY OF LIFE
- The Gamba Machine now displays the odds
KNOWN ISSUES
- Fatal Errors happening after multiple hours of playing the game
- Fatal Errors on launch
- Possible memory leak issues when playing for several hours
- ROG Ally UI not working properly
- Many more little bugs that will be fixed as soon as possible! Keep reporting issues if it’s not fixed in the new update!
- Deadeye: this is not a bug, but due to much feedback we will be adjusting it so it’s not as oppressive
