Aside from the obvious argument of allowing a whole new audience to experience the trilogy's second part, a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC release date would also make sense, considering how the original remake ended up making its way to the platform.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Release Date
At the moment, Square Enix hasn't officially announced any details regarding a potential Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC release date.
The publisher chose to focus on the title's PlayStation 5 version. During Summer Game Fest 2023, it revealed that owners of Sony's latest console would get to play the title at some point in early 2024.
It then narrowed down the PS5 launch to February 29, 2024 during September's State of Play showcase, without any word about a PC release.

The first part of the trilogy was also not initially available on PC, remaining exclusive to Sony's console for a good chunk of time. It did, however, eventually shed platform exclusivity.
This, of course, makes it likely that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will also follow a similar trajectory, so we'll simply have to be patient. Judging by its PS5 launch, it does look unlikely for a PC release date to occur anywhere before the second half of 2024.
