Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has sold 4 million copies, Embracer Group has revealed, as the medieval RPG continues to perform well. The same cannot be said about co-op first-person shooter Killing Floor 3, which, alongside a series of the company’s small and mid-sized titles, have shown “weak performance.”
The recent launch of Kingdom Come Deliverance II’s third major DLC, Mysteria Ecclesiae, has contributed to reaching the milestone of 4 million copies sold, following the RPG’s original release, which was praised by critics and fans alike.
Kingdom Come Deliverance Sells 4 Million Copies
“Our core IPs, including The Lord of the Rings and Kingdom Come: Deliverance, delivered solid results above expectations in the quarter,” noted Group CEO Phil Rogers in the interim financial report covering the period between July and September 2025.
“Our focused efforts on Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, alongside the successful launch of the Legacy of the Forge DLC, was a catalyst for new and existing player engagement. Just this week, the third major DLC, Mysteria Ecclesiae, was released along with the announcement of reaching another major milestone of 4 million units sold.”
He goes on to note that “this quarter saw a weak performance for new releases, including Killing Floor 3 and several small and mid-sized titles.”
While this might set off alarm bells for fans of the co-op first-person shooter, Rogers explains that developer Tripwire Interactive “continues to demonstrate a strong commitment through consistent updates and active community engagement,” while adding that Embracer Group “will consistently monitor player engagement and determine the best ways to support Killing Floor 3, ensuring our approach reflects community feedback and builds as a sustainable service model.”
As Embracer Group recovers from the failed $2 billion deal, which saw it closing multiple studios and cancelling many projects before splitting off into several companies that manage different parts of its portfolio, its CEO explains that “long-term value will be driven by investing in our world-leading IPs in ways that delight fans.”
Looking towards the final quarter of its financial year, Embracer Group considers both Reanimal and Gothic 1 Remake among its “impactful mid-sized PC/Console releases.”
