There was a big Mortal Kombat 11 gameplay reveal blowout this week, and now fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to get their hands on the game. The earliest opportunity would be the Mortal Kombat 11 beta, but will there be a Mortal Kombat 11 PC beta?
With the game out in a few short months, and the normal beta meant to start in March, will the Mortal Kombat 11 beta be on PC? Or will you need to play it on consoles? Heck, is it coming to PC at all, and at the same time? Netherrealm has a bad reputation for delaying their games on PC, of course. We've got the answers below.
Is There a Mortal Kombat 11 PC beta?
The Mortal Kombat 11 beta is due on March 28th, and is currently only available for people who pre-order the game. If you want to play Mortal Kombat 11 early, that's the only way you'll definitely get access to the beta, although we do expect other ways to appear closer to the end of March.
However, we're sorry to report that the beta is not planned for PC. Only Xbox One and PS4 pre-order customers will have access to the Mortal Kombat 11 beta, and it will not be running on PC at all - at least at the moment. This may change, especially if Netherrealm want to test the online functionality on PC - their last game Injustice 2 had a beta on PC, after all, despite releasing much later. Right now, though, we're not getting it.
The good news though is that PC owners will get the final release of Mortal Kombat 11 on the same day as console owners. The game has a release date of April 23 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. Despite the lack of the beta, it's still worth pre-ordering on PC, as everyone who does (on any platform) will get the DLC fighter Shao Kahn for free.
Still sucks we're not getting a beta, though.
