Korean stealth action shooter Mudang: Two Hearts could be shelved after strange goings on at developer EVR Studio.
The third-person military action game appeared at last summer’s Xbox Games Showcase, declaring a 2026 release on Series X/S, PS5, and PC via Steam, Epic, and Xbox PC. But a series of unfortunate events raises suspicions of the game being at death’s door just six months on.
Mudang: Two Hearts Broken?
Just a month later, things took a swift, sour turn. Multiple employees were fired, with a lack of funds being cited as the underlying reason. Then a Korean tracking site seemed to suggest the number of employees at the developer had dwindled from over a hundred to just 22.
The studio’s website went down shortly after and has since been deleted, which surely puts the final nail in the game’s coffin.
Need4games reached out to sources at the studio and reportedly found a lot of negative feedback about the state of the game, while an investor allegedly expects the game to release in March of 2026.
Mudang: Two Hearts is billed as a narrative-driven third-person action-adventure that blends cinematic storytelling with immersive stealth and dynamic combat.
Fans of the Splinter Cell series were naturally excited to see a game reminiscent of the classic Ubisoft stealth-action series emerge.
There’s not much evidence on display that the game shown off in the summer actually gets released, but nothing is official on the game’s status just yet. We’ll have to wait and see if there’s a rebirth of sorts. The Steam store listing is still live and lists a 2026 release.
