It feels like, at this point, you'd be hard-pressed to find a person who is interested in video games but doesn't know anything about Overkill's The Walking Dead. Following not one, but two different delays, and beset by various issues both great and small, Overkill have had a hard time bringing this thing to light.
We've all heard about the game, we've seen Overkill's fancy character introduction videos, but it wasn't until just a few months back that the gameplay was actually revealed. Thankfully, Overkill's The Walking Dead will be getting a closed beta in a more timely manner, as it would seem.
Overkill's The Walking Dead is going to have a fully-fledged closed beta period starting on 9th of October, 2018, as per the announcement of Overkill's Global Brand Director, Almir Listo. It is unclear as of now whether said beta will be limited in content or simply polish, but it's good news that it's going to happen.
The only way to gain access to The Walking Dead's closed beta will be to pre-purchase the game via Steam, which will set you back for €49,99. If you're interested in getting some of your mates in to try the game out as well, go for the Deluxe Edition, which costs €67.99, and which nets you four beta keys.
Overkill's The Walking Dead is currently slated for launch on the 6th of November, 2018, and it's been a long time coming. Are you looking forward to this objective-based cooperative first-person title, or has the zombie fad passed you over as well?
