Phasmophobia’s next map is Nell’s Diner, and we finally have a release date: November 11. Kinetic Games unveiled the date today during a TwitchCon panel celebrating the fifth anniversary of the “genre-defining horror game.”
The new map is a “run-down, retro restaurant that’s been long-abandoned by staff and diners alike.” It’ll be one of the game’s smaller maps, but that doesn’t mean the experience will be any less spooky. Once Nell’s Diner launches next month on all platforms, it’ll become Phasmophobia’s 14th map so far.
Daniel Knight (Dknighter), director at Kinetic Games and lead dev of Phasmophobia shared the following ahead of the reveal:
“So far, we’ve added some really classic horror locations to Phasmophobia - an abandoned asylum, creepy farmhouses, and our more linear lighthouse map, Point Hope. We always thought a diner would fit perfectly, so Nell’s was born, and it’s been such a fun challenge bringing it to life… Alongside the farmhouse reworks from this year, Nell’s is an example of how we want all the maps in Phasmophobia to feel going forward. It’s unique, and has been meticulously designed to tell more of a story to our players - beyond the immediate ghost they’re hunting. We can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it next month.”
So far, Kinetic Games has managed to stick to the proposed 2025 roadmap quite well, and we’ve been told there are more surprises to come before the year ends. The game remains on track for a 1.0 launch in the second half of 2026, though it’s already terrifying players across PC (Steam), PS5, PS VR2, and Xbox Series X/S in early access.
