Managing parks in Planet Coaster 2 is about to get a tinge more magical when the Sorcery Pack DLC releases next week, bringing with it new scenery pieces, five fresh rides, and more.
The DLC will be accompanied by the management sim’s free update 7, which adds a challenge mode while introducing new features that allow us to be even more creative when building our parks.
Planet Coaster 2: Sorcery Pack DLC and Update 7
Planet Coaster 2’s Sorcery Pack DLC promises “hundreds of fantastical new scenery pieces,” which opens up avenues to build areas themed around the arcane.
Whether it’s tall castle spires rising above candlelit courtyards, bubbling cauldrons, glowing sigils, and more, we can expect a touch of whimsy that also includes a spook or two as we prepare for Halloween.
A brand new entertainer, Vesper, is also part of Planet Coaster 2’s Sorcery Pack DLC, as are new VFX and SFX options.
Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, we’ll be able to treat our guests to five new rides that can be customized with the new arcane theming or any combination of existing ones. Here is how publisher Frontier Developments describes them.
- The OUTMAX – LSM Raid Coaster, offers quick switch tracks and swing launches that blend sophisticated engineering and adrenaline-pumping excitement to any park.
- The OUTAMAX – Bike and Sidecar, introduces a sleek steel coaster powered with explosive acceleration.
- Something for all (m)ages arrives with the VECTOR – Child Coaster, a gentle yet exciting adventure.
- An awe-inspiring immersive simulation experience awaits with FLYING THEATRE, where every twist, dive, and turn feels as if you’re truly soaring through the air.
- Lastly, GALE FORCE brings guests a dizzying pendulum flat ride where guests will feel every twist and tilt.
Planet Coaster 2’s Sorcery Pack DLC is headed to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 16, 2025, costing £7.99/$9.99/€9.99 or your regional equivalent.
Launching at the same time, update 7 gives Planet Coaster 2 its very own challenge mode that offers challenges which can be completed or rejected. Seeing them through rewards money but, as a park’s rating increases, so does their difficulty.
In addition, update 7 also introduces the ability to rotate buildings on all three axes as well as a new terrain style option that “conforms the path to the landscape as you build it” and color customization options for all path materials.
