As Diablo 4’s Lord of Hatred expansion swiftly approaches, a recent leak suggests that the Warlock will seemingly join the hack and slash RPG’s roster of playable classes.
The rumors began swirling thanks to a piece of artwork featuring the Paladin – already available in-game for anyone who pre-orders Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred – and a considerably less armored figure that seems to be dealing with much darker powers, both posing heroically.
Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred Warlock Class Leak
Reddit user inudax then claimed that their datamining efforts revealed files referencing the Warlock class on the public test realm for the game’s 2.6 update, which accompanies season 12.
The Warlock hasn’t previously been featured in the series, but considering how the Vessel of Hatred expansion gave us the Spiritborn as a fresh addition, it wouldn’t be that strange to see Blizzard experimenting once again.
The developer has yet to officially confirm the addition of the Warlock as a second playable class in Diablo 4’s Lord of Hatred expansion and, in the age of AI, it’s worth taking everything with a slightly bigger pinch of salt.
Nevertheless, a dark-themed class would act as a counterbalance to the Paladin, who traditionally wields the light against demonic opponents.
The second class coming in Lord of Hatred could also be tied to Diablo Immortal’s Blood Knight, although the comparatively lower amount of armor on show could suggest we’re dealing with a different kind of blood power user.
With Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred going live on April 28, 2026, we hopefully won’t have too long to wait before learning whether or not its leaked Warlock class is actually real.
