As Resident Evil Requiem swiftly approaches, rumors of a potential Resident Evil 0 Remake are swirling up again, thanks to an actor’s resume, which appears to have been updated with the title’s in-development codename.
Rumors about a potential Resident Evil 0 Remake first appeared last year, when reputable leaker Dusk Golem claimed that it was in development.
Resident Evil 0 Remake Mentioned in Lead Actor’s Resume
As spotted by MP1st, actor Jon McLaren, who voiced Star Lord in 2021’s Guardians of the Galaxy video game, updated his resume with a mention of one Project Chamber, described as an upcoming AAA title.
According to the website, that is the in-development codename of the rumored Resident Evil 0 Remake, referencing protagonist Rebecca Chambers.
McLaren’s resume points towards a lead role, potentially suggesting that he plays co-protagonist Billy Coen, as well as Beyond Capture Studios, a motion capture company that has previously worked with Capcom on Resident Evil 4 Remake.
The Resident Evil 0 Remake has reportedly been in development for a few years, with Dusk Golem claiming it is on track for a 2028 release.
As interesting as it is seeing Capcom potentially taking a detour with its remakes rather than focusing on Resident Evil 5 next, it’s best to take all these reveals with a grain of salt.
The developer has yet to officially bring up a potential Resident Evil 0 Remake but, if the rumors are true, we should hear more about it at some point after Requiem releases.
