The latest remaster from Nightdive Studios brings cult-classic FPS SiN back to modern platforms with SiN: Reloaded.
Originally released in 1998, the shooter is getting the full Nightdive treatment with enhanced visuals, remastered music, an overhauled UI, and modernised controls. If the updated presentation isn’t to your liking, players will also be able to switch back to the original version of SiN at any time.
SiN: Reloaded is scheduled to release later in 2026 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC storefronts.
SiN: Reloaded is a Blast From the Past
What Is SiN: Reloaded?
SiN: Reloaded is a modern remaster of the original 1998 first-person shooter developed by Ritual Entertainment. The game follows security consultant Colonel John R. Blade as he battles the dangerously charismatic Doctor Elexis Sinclaire, CEO of SinTEK Industries.
Set in a near-future dystopia, the story sees Sinclaire unleashing a DNA-altering drug onto the streets, creating an army of grotesque mutants. Blade must fight through the chaos and take down SinTEK’s twisted experiments.
The original SiN ran on the Quake II engine (something Nightdive Studios is already very familiar with) and stood out at the time for its impressive level interactivity. Players could hack computer terminals using DOS-style commands, manipulate elevators and security cameras, and travel through levels using a variety of vehicles, including forklifts, patrol boats, and helicopters. It was even possible to shoot weapons out of the enemies’ hands.
The game also introduced branching story paths based on player decisions - a feature that was fairly unusual for FPS titles nearly three decades ago.
SiN: Reloaded will launch on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC storefronts later in 2026.
