Stardew Valley’s update 1.7 release date brings even more content to the farming/life sim phenomenon, giving its dedicated community, which continues to keep the title among the heavy-hitters on Steam’s list of most played games, even more to tinker with.
Although it remains largely shrouded in mystery at the moment, Stardew Valley’s patch 1.7 announcement came as a partial surprise, since the developer is also working on Haunted Chocolatier, a slightly different entry in the genre.
Stardew Valley Update 1.7 Release Date
Fans expected Eric Barone’s focus to shift towards his other project following the launch of patch 1.6. Yet, on August 30, 2025, he posted on X, formerly Twitter, the following message:
“There will be a Stardew Valley 1.7 update. No release date, no estimate. But it’s happening.”
- Stardew Valley patch 1.7 release date: TBA
Unfortunately, that is the full extent of what we know about the next content drop for the farming/life sim at this point in time.
It’s difficult to say whether Barone is working on it as we speak, but given how it is a numbered patch, we should see more than just a handful of bugfixes.
Estimating when Stardew Valley’s update 1.7 release date might occur is equally tricky, but the title is turning 10 in 2026, and new content to play through would be a welcome gift for both newer and longtime players.
More details will very likely be shared as Stardew Valley’s patch 1.7 begins to take shape. Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we’ll learn what exactly we can look forward to when it releases.
