Steam Detective Fest brings demos and discounts for some of the most celebrated sleuthing games around on PC. Will you be left solving the case of the empty wallet?
I do enjoy a themed sale, and a particular sub-genre of game I’ve been enjoying more recently is detective games. So, a Steam festival and sale dedicated to that? There goes the rest of the paycheck.
Steam Detective Fest brings together all things investigatory on PC, from flashy narrative-driven action to cerebral deduction puzzlers. There’s likely something to unlock the Poirot in you here.
Steam Detective Fest Sale Highlights
There’s a lot of games on sale for Detective Fest, so let’s go through some of the highlights.
If, for some reason, you still haven’t bought Lucas Pope’s period mystery gem Return of the Obra Dinn, that’s just over a tenner right now. And it’s probably the right time to add Disco Elysium - The Final Cut is just £8.74.
A more recent time sink, and my game of the Year in 2025 was Dogubomb’s Blue Prince, which is available at a tantalizing £14.02.
It wouldn’t be a sale without Capcom finding its way in there, and naturally, there’s plenty of Ace Attorney on offer right now. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy gives you three of the best games in the celebrated series for just £8.24. There are also spinoff collections of Apollo Justice, The Great Ace Attorney, and the Ace Attorney Investigations series on sale.
You can even get creator Shu Takumi’s cult detective game, Ghost Trick Phantom Detective, for under ten pounds, too. That’s a whole lot of quirky investigation work going cheap.
Elsewhere, Rockstar’s L.A. Noire, Bloober Team’s Observer: System Redux, cozy puzzler Strange Horticulture, and Frogwares’ Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened are all on sale for under six quid each. Not a bad little grab bag of styles for just over 20 pounds.
We’ll round off with a few smaller treats. The fantastic pulp point n’ click game The Drifter is 20% off. Cyberpunk noir detective game Nobody Wants to Die is only £3.99, immersive sim gumshoe action can be yours for ten pounds in Shadows of Doubt, and indulge in charming duck deduction with Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping for just £6.80.
Again, this barely scratches the surface of what’s available, and there are also free demos for upcoming games, as well as brand new detective-based releases to discover. We’ll have a few of the newer highlights for you later, but in the meantime, go browse the whole thing and build your own case.
