Steam Spring Cleaning event is now up and running, and alongside various achievements for playing and completing games you already have in your Steam library, you've also got an opportunity to play some of the games that are free over the weekend!
Taking place over the next couple of days, this year's Steam Spring Cleaning event will task you with completing various tasks by playing some of your long-forgotten games, which will, in turn, unlock achievements and badges for you to flaunt.
Steam Spring Cleaning 2019
Taking place from 24th to 28th of May, this year's Steam Spring Cleaning boasts Daily Tasks and so-called Projects for players to tackle and complete. Whereas Daily Tasks will send you off to install and play randomly-selected games or try out titles that are now available for free (such as Grim Dawn, Assetto Corsa, Dead by Daylight, and others), Projects are fully-fledged achievements.
Namely, if you chase Projects, you're going to have to 'play a game you've played more than 2 hours of, but haven't played in a while', or even 'play the first game you added to your Steam account'. Some pretty inventive stuff, all things considered.
There's a grand total of 17 tasks to complete and, in true Steam fashion, at the end of the weekend you'll get a shiny new badge to demonstrate your accomplishment.
