Raw Fury is back with another stylized mystery and deduction game that could make waves this year. The Séance of Blake Manor is Spooky Doorway’s new game, and the first reviews promise a new indie hit.
The game has just launched on Steam today, October 27, and we’re instantly reminded of Blue Prince, one of 2025’s greats, though the structure of this deduction and puzzle adventure is more traditional. Here’s the basic premise:
“It is October 29th, 1897, and Private Investigator Declan Ward arrives at Blake Manor to find a missing woman. What he finds is the Grand Séance and a group of mystics who have gathered from all corners of the world – waiting for All Hallow’s Eve, the night when the veil between worlds is thinnest. The night to tear down the barrier and speak to the dead.”
Of course, those who jump into this promising detective sim will have to interrogate suspects, look into evidence and motivations, and keep track of the entire investigation, among other things. The twist? “Each action counts the day down” and critical events need to be caught in the right place at the right time. In a way, this is one of those investigation games that require players to perfect a run until completion versus stumbling their way through clues and into the resolution.
For gamers who enjoy textured period pieces, The Séance of Blake Manor has the added extra of being heavily inspired by Irish Mythology and the spiritualist movements of the Victorian era. So far, early reviews and reactions on socials from Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier and The Guardian, among others, suggest we could be looking at another major win for Raw Fury in the making.
