Tempest Rising’s March 10 update has been officially teased, publisher 3D Realms and developer Slipgate Ironworks confirming that the real-time strategy game will receive a ladder reset alongside a set of quality of life and balance changes soon.
Tempest Rising’s March 10 update was unveiled shortly after the title was confirmed as the headliner of this month’s Humble Choice bundle, which includes seven other games for a relatively low price.
Tempest Rising March 10 Update
Here is our first look at what we can expect when Tempest Rising’s March 10 update drops:
- A new option to play Campaign with all Doctrines & Equipment unlocked from the start
- An option to collapse and expand the unit selection groups in the HUD
- A long-awaited Ranked Multiplayer ladder reset
- New Faction and Rank Medal icons in the match player list
- A long-requested ‘Out of Focus’ audio toggle option
- The ability to send Friend requests while viewing a Player Profile
- Doctrine and Armory Pages added to the Codex
- New Global Production Queue sorting buttons
- New ‘Select All Support Units’ Hotkeys
- A variety of balance changes for both Factions (including removing Marking from the Mauler)
Although these changes aren’t earthshattering, they do show developer Slipgate Ironworks’ dedication to continuously polishing its RTS, ultimately improving the closest thing to a modern-day Command and Conquer game that’s currently available to us.
The full patch notes for Tempest Rising’s March 10 update will be shared on the same day when it goes live. Thankfully, that’s a fairly short wait.
