If you’ve been yearning for some fresh chrome death machine destruction in Terminator: Resistance then news of a story-based DLC out next month will be most welcome.
Releasing worldwide on December 10th, Annihilation Line adds a brand new side-story to the existing campaign, which is itself set in a post-Judgement Day world, where man is barely hanging on against the mechanical menace of Skynet.
The DLC slots in just after the resistance have defeated its first Infiltrator, and sees you team up with the soon-to-be-legendary Kyle Reese to investigate the mysterious silence of a California outpost and its connection to Skynet.
As its title kind of alludes to, this four hour chunk of story will take protagonist Jacob Rivers across the infamous Skynet ‘Annihilation Line’ and put him in the crosshairs of shiny foes old and new, including T-600s and HK Centurions. To balance out these new threats, there’s also a selection of new weaponry to wield as Jacob heads deeper and deeper into enemy territory.
Being the best Terminator game isn’t exactly a competitive achievement, but Terminator: Resistance earned that accolade.
The first-person shooter from Polish developer Teyon and publisher Reef Entertainment had a rocky start and more than a few rough edges, but has managed to gain something of a cult following since its release on PC and consoles back in November 2019.
