Total War: Warhammer 2</a> has been getting quite a lot of announcements over the past few days, mainly concerning the rather relentless onslaught of new content we'll soon be getting. The so-called Aye-Aye Update is going to be setting the foundations for what's to come.
This completely free content update will release alongside Curse of the Vampire Coast, and will be automatically downloaded for all owners via Steam. It is set to introduce massive changes to the traditional Vampire Counts factions, as well as the Bloodlines gameplay mechanic.
The Aye-Aye! Update's brand new Bloodlines mechanic concerns the Vampiric factions of Total War: Warhammer 2; more specifically, it relates to the five ancient Vampire broods: the Lahmians, the Von Carsteins, the Blood Dragons, the Necrarchs, and the Strigoi. How it works is that players can awaken up to three different Arch-Lords, each granting new faction-wide bonuses reflecting their allegiances.
It is worth noting that the amount of resources (Blood Kisses) required to awaken each subsequent Vampire Lord keeps rising, so this might prove to be a bit of a challenge in certain matches. Additionally, all Legendary Lords have undergone balance changes.
Finally, players will also have the chance to download a new DLC pack free of charge. Lokhir Fellheart will be available as a freebie for whoever desires access to him, bringing with him an army of Dark Elves to plunder the high seas as they see fit.
All of this and more will be made available on the 8th of November, with the release of Curse of the Vampire Coast, so stay tuned!
