Whitethorn Games has postponed the release of The Forest Cathedral for PlayStation 5, initially scheduled to launch on October 31st, perfectly timed for Halloween.
The Forest Cathedral is a first-person environmental thriller set on an isolated island. Assuming the role of scientist Rachel Carson, players are tasked with unraveling the mystery of why the island seems determined to prevent her departure.
No specific reason was given for the delay, other than the statement that “circumstances beyond our control have impacted the launch timeline”. Here’s the statement in full:
We understand that many PlayStation 5 holders are excited about The Forest Cathedral’s release on Tuesday. Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control have impacted the launch timeline, necessitating this delay.
We understand the disappointment this news may cause, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay may bring to our fans, supporters, and partners. We are doing our best to minimize this delay period and will provide an updated release date soon.</b>
Once a new release date is announced for The Forest Cathedral, we will promptly update you. We shouldn’t have to wait too long.
