Publisher 101XP and developer Sever have announced that text-driven RPG The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante now has an official release date slated for March 4.
In less than a month, players can step into The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante’s dark medieval world and decide which path the eponymous character follows. Its choice-heavy branching narrative gives you control over Sir Brante’s decisions from the moment of his birth and until his death.
Traits like sensitivity and endurance also “affect his personality, worldview, and relationships, ultimately unlocking new talents and possible storylines.” One full playthrough of the game’s five chapters is expected to take somewhere close to 15 hours, but the title was developed with replayability in mind.
You can take different approaches to Sir Brante’s life (and possibly suffering), steering him in completely new directions. You’ll also take advantage of a resurrection system that lets the character keep all of his experiences the first three times he parts with his life. The fourth time around, he faces True Death, ending up in front of The Twins, deities who govern the world and assign people their fates at birth.
Players can guide the protagonist on the path to “become a noble judge, learn the ways of the inquisition, plot a revolution as a member of a secret society, or embrace an entirely different purpose.” His journey will also reveal more about the “harsh customs and merciless justice” of the Blessed Arknian Empire.
The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante has locked down its released date to March 4, when it arrives on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the publisher’s own website. You can check out its free prologue, which is currently sitting at an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam, for an early taste of what’s to come.
